*Search Costs are out-of-pocket expenses we incur once on your behalf through authorities before settlement to identify debts that run with property you have purchased (such as Council rates, water rates, land tax and owner’s corporation levies), so that they are appropriately adjusted between you and the seller at settlement and all outstanding amounts are paid by the seller before or at settlement. Extra fees apply for additional searches over and beyond standard searches (eg property is affected by more than one title, additional owners corporation certificates, PPSR search, previous searches have expired or additional searches upon request). Standard searches comprise of one water authority certificate, one council rates certificate, one land tax certificate, one owners corporate certificate (if applicable) and one title activity search on the day of settlement.
